Salt Lake City Engagements {Candice + Caden} Vintage Engagement Photography Utah

Yesterday I shot an engagement session in the warehouse district of SLC and captured some fun shots for Candice and Caden. They will be getting married on May 12th at the Bountiful Temple:) I just loved Candice's hair.. I was once bold enough to have a bit more fun with my highlights like she does:) When I asked her where she got it done I was shocked to find out she did it her self! Anyway I'm a bit of a detail nut and I just love the way her highlights look so vibrant in color and black and white.

Coincidental enough I recently added a cool vintage book to my collection of books, and while this what is a math book (not my specialty) I thought it looked cool:) Anyway it turned out to be a pretty awesome match since Caden is studying math in school to become a Professor and Candice wanted a vintage look!
















Whenever I am shooting engagements or bride and groom photos I always tend to say artsy stuff like "focus on the romantic energy between the two of you..." lol! Anyway, it makes total sense to me and usually the girls in the shoot, but once in a while a groom will be like "Huh?" "I don't know what that means?"



I loved the attire Candice put together for the two of them:) Very nicely coordinated! Anyway, just FYI... do not expect me as your photographer to ever look this coordinated in my attire.  I am happy to find two matching socks getting dressed in the morning!
