As we dive into this maternity session, let me start with being a little gaga over Michal hair!  I just loved it! So fun and playful.







Blogging these sessions from our time back east at school is making me so nostalgic and kinda home sick, although most of school friends have moved to places all over the country.  I loved getting to meet a wonderfully diverse collection of friends from all over the world and learning bits about the culture and life they came from.

Michal and Niv wanted to embrace the "American" tradition of doing maternity pictures.  With busy school schedules, we did a studio session in the evening at my home.  I love the spot light contemporary vibe of these pictures.  I think they go so perfectly for these two.





Michal and Niv were telling me about the culture and their family life living in Jerusalem before, as we were talking about how they really didn't have maternity pictures back home.   I love hearing how tight knit their families are.  No need for sending out Holiday cards or baby announcements.  Instead you would just stop by and say hello.  I imagine the warmth of family thinking about it.  A kind embrace, being in the loop about each others lives without social media.
