Monica and Skye were a fun couple to capture.  Monica had such a elegance and class about her but she had her wilder girl of the wind side too when she let down her hair for her and Skye's romantic motorcycle ride at sunset by the Great Salt Lake.  We captured some of the beautiful spring blossoms just in time! Give is two days later and they were all gone.

These were married in Washington where they are from originally.  They wanted to incorporate the motorcycle ride as part of their engagement pictures since Skye proposed with a helmet instead of a ring.  Such a unique way to pop the question :) I imagine a little invitation with that sort of cowboy romantic ending, only with a motorcycle where he invited her to ride off into the sunset with her... Congratulations you two! I wish you the every bit of happiness!

Let me introduce you to this charming couple, Brittney and Chad! These two are some of the most down to earth, resilient and patient people I have ever photographed:) It was fun to get to see Brittney again after capturing her Senior pictures! And now she is engaged! Anyway, they survived with me through the bugs of Antelope Island! The bugs hit early this year, and although they were practically non-existent 3 weeks earlier, it was borderline, so as soon as the weather heated up, all the little bugs came out! Brittney and Chad stuck it out, enduring bites and itches for the beautiful surroundings to capture their love in. I love the grand hills and plants and water areas of Antelope Island and all that is has to offer. It is just about the closest we get to a white sandy beachs here in Utah.

We had fun hitting some majestic spots on the island and even more fun swatting away bugs acting like we were in Indiana Jones. How does one act like they are in Indiana Jones? Simple act like being attacked by veracious insects doesn't bug you!

Brittney and Chad met in one of their large lecture hall classes at Snow College. I always love to hear little snippets of these cute stories. As a filmmaker I tend to imagine the beginning moments and how it would play out, when they met. I might imagine Chad sat a few rows back and each class he was working up the courage to say hello as he tried to not let her see him glance her way, smiling at the simple things... the way she tucked her pretty hair behind her ear, or raised her hand.. etc. Anyway, the beginnings are fun to picture. It is part of why I love what I do! Capturing the end of a journey and beginning of a new one as they prepare to start their adventures as husband and wife! Congratulations you two.
