I am so excited and feel so blessed to be celebrating 10 years of Effervescent Media Works. Ten years of capturing couples, individuals, families, and events. Fun and playful photography and videography with a touch of elegance and grace too.

What is your favorite part of spring?
I love to hear all the birds chirping. We live under several large trees and man, it is quite the party sometimes. And of course the flowers! Ahhh the flowers. I can't get enough of them. When I drive around town and see all these beautiful California flower bushes draping over a brick wall or see a field of mustard flowers, I cannot wait to do pictures there. For high school seniors or a mother snuggling her baby. You name it! I love the whimsy of spring blossoms.
And then there is, of course, the joy of finally being able to let the kids out in the back yard to play! Fun fact. We build our own playhouse in the backyard. It is far from perfect, but I hope it will be a memory the kids cherish as adults. It is way more fun to create something from scratch anyway. More creativity and imagination.

You know, my husband helped me come up with the name for our business back in 2008. I always knew I wanted to do video as well as photography, so while I could have done Rebecca Rachelle Photography ... it just didn't fit! Effervescent referring to lively, vivacious, filled with excitement. Such as "effervescent young people". There is a part of me that never wants to grow up. I am all about being a goofball with my kiddos at playtime and running around with them at the playground. We pull out the funny voices and the pretending to be animals and such and I love that. I love to make them smile. When I am doing pictures and capturing the bridesmaids laughing together on a wedding day or running about a field with a fun family, I capture a bit of that energy that it full of life and youthful. Anyway, the name fits!
