It is time for me to talk about something that I don't really talk about a lot on this blog... dun dun dun... me!  Haha.  No but really I think I tend to like living in mystery but it is time to show you all a bit more about who I am, what I love and what makes me me because that is all a part of my brand and my work!

So here it goes.  As you can tell already I certainly have a more casual side to me.  A little bit of tom-girl rough edge... I mean, I'm all for playing in the mud with my kiddos, but I love things that sparkle too.

I have a LOT of passions.  I mean a lot.  Photography is obviously up there on the list but really, here is just my short list:

Photography, Film, Editing, Writing, Painting, Cooking, Baking, Gardening, Crafting, Scrap booking, planning parties, traveling, hiking, camping, backpacking, swimming, the outdoors period, kayaking, biking, sculpting, sewing, antique mall shopping, sea shell collecting pintersting....

Yep.  I think that is enough for now.  Anyway,  I love trying out new things too.  The hubby and I like to grab some sushi, climb mountains, and just play with the kids who are always cracking us up.

Recently we were out at the Outer Banks in North Carolina for one of our family vacations and my wonderful husband took pictures of me on the beach.  He is AMAZING.  I mean I woke him up at the crack of dawn to take pictures for me as it is kinda a rare treat to be at the beach and I love the beach.  These are his talent at work, and he doesn't give himself enough credit.

My husband Matt and I just celebrated our 9 year anniversary!  Can you believe it.  And we have two awesome little ones that keep us on our toes.  I mean as in turn around two seconds and then BAM, sharpie all over the face... and wall... (she thought it was lipgloss.. haha) Anyway we laugh and love all those funny moments... some of them, well, we eventually love and laugh about.

Anyway, I wouldn't have been able to start this business if it weren't for my hubby!  He was a model many times in the beginning and is my partner with the business itself.  He contributes so much to its success and has been confident in my skills which has boosted my own confidence over the years too.   One thing about starting anything and being successful at it, is encouragement and help from another is always. It is necessary. Together we have had a lot of amazing experiences, traveled.

As an artist, I come from a family of a lot of amazing artists.  For example, my brother Justin Clements is a well-known oil painter in Colorado.  The talent is widespread too in variety.  Costume designs, cartoon art, major crafting skills, film, sculpting etc.  Anyway, that is where it all started, but I would say of the arts I love storytelling.  Capturing emotion and rare moments that are true memories is priceless.  Life is short and the memories fade all too quickly.  Just like a fireflies light.

One of my early artistic mentors who simply put a little faith in me, was a Junior High teacher that asked me to make the end-of-the-year graduation video for my school, which involved capturing footage throughout the year and compiling it.  Mind you, this is the mini videotape era... which I don't miss.  Anyway, that gave a major boost to my already growing love of film and photography and from there it has continued ever since.  In 2009, we started the business officially out of our small basement apartment in Salt Lake City and from there have moved and grown.  My husband and I did our Undergrads at the University of Utah and there is where I did my BFA with an emphasis in film directing shorts and getting involved with other film projects.  In film, I write, direct but love most of all to be behind the camera with cinematography and photography.

After finishing at the U of U, we were in Salt Lake a few more years and are now located in Durham, NC for another year while my hubby finished Grad school and then off to somewhere new... maybe... a bit of mystery on that right now.  Life is an adventure and our loved ones are precious.  The moments we share are priceless.
